For so many years,
I kept running from fears.
I kept living my way,
In search of fun everyday.
I took for granted all my responsibility,
All stemming from denial of my ability.
When the landlord knocked at my door,
The words I heard, I heard times before.
Thinking again I've been down this road before,
I turned to leave and shut the door.
I kept living a life, Oh, what a mess,
If only I had God would I surely be blessed.
I must have walked 10 miles or so, and
What came to mind was "Footprints in the Sand."
Oh what a blessing, walking that night,
Jesus was watching, I was in his sight.
I had blisters on my feet at my destination,
But my thanks to God, Satan received my resignation.
